Stinking FABULOUS, I tell you. The Vashon Woodworks (Stop #6 on the tour) is a diverse group of wood artists who create useful or fanciful articles from turned bowls to toys to furniture. With the environment in mind andNewport Back Bay as inspiration, the muted color palette provides an ethereal backdrop for the wood used on the walls and soffits all reclaimed lumber salvaged from old canneries in Northern California; and in the wine and dairy areas, used wine tank staves, stained deep purple and light red from the wine in the barrels, were used on the walls. I carried it everywhere with me and would ask random strangers to take their picture. I pay attention the trends but don follow them as a hard and fast rule I want my pieces to be timeless.
